Hi!

2011 is here, with new goals.
I started the year with a great deal of study, to raise my next productions to another level.
It will be a year where I will share, again, various types of new digital content.
There is a new and enormous challenge on the horizon, but which only
I can tell when there's something concrete.
I will try to communicate more and better ... (I said try :-))

When a Song Wins

Sometimes you just want to get it done! For some time now I'm trying to finish a song. One special song. A song that in a part is telling me to go on a certain direction. But then there's a voice saying we should go the opposite way. And then there I am in the middle... Struggling...suffering... Because the creative process sometimes can be hard... Very hard. And then I think, I will not go in one or another direction. I'll go both ways. One at a time. And then we all can move on to the next song.

Hi.
A person that has been involved in the music and media industry like me, for a while, and as made the transition from the analog to the digital world, is used to write music, play, record, mix, master, remix etc...etc...etc...
We come to a point were people ask you, what you do? And if they understand how it works is easy to explain, but for most people is just, confusing....
So, with that in mind and to try to make it simple, I've "created" what I think can put all those roles in the same "bag" and appeal to the most important thing that is involved in any artistic procedure, being creative.
That's how I came up with what I'll call myself (at least till I invent something else):

Hi. Yesterday I made some vocal comping of pre-recorded vocals for a song that I'm producing. In fact it's the best and safest way to achieve better vocals, even if it means more work. Some truly gifted singers can make a magic take, and that's it. But that's rare, even for world renowned singers. The digital world made everything easier for them. But somebody still as to make all the work of listening and choosing the best parts of each take. Sometimes is just a word, other it's a phrase. But we are committed to deliver the best vocal performance that we can. Because that's the most important part of a song. Because that's what you'll be humming or singing. Or even better you can just shout out loud that one phrase that will change your life. And that's what's magic about music. The power to change. Stay happy. Peace and Love. Hindie

Hey there! I'm back to where I love to be... In the studio. It was a short break, but sometimes is good to just stop and see things from a different angle. I'm working on some dance tracks. I'm writing and producing a dance track for a male singer, and I hope I can give news about that soon... Need to take some bureaucracy out of my way first... This track is Hindie Ft (...) and I will release it, unless a label come along and want´s to sign it... Waiting. But I hope next week I can give more info on this subject... Besides that all is good. It's been a while...

It's been a while...
Since I posted something here...
Well...been busy... of course that's an excuse....
I can always find few minutes to write something :-)
So let me tell you what's been going on.
I'm working on some ideas.
Meaning, working on some music.
Working with some different people.
But we all share the same dream.
And the same love for music.
I'm being vague, but I need to be like this at this point.
But I can tell you that I'm doing my best to release a dance track in the next weeks...
Ok, if all goes well, probably in April.
There it is, I said it.
Feel free to follow me on the social networks i'm involved with.
Keep listening to music and support the artists you like.
The music industry is going thru some changes.
But not as much as the industry make's you believe it is, ok?

This is the year that I will invest heavily in the composition and production of electronic music.Probably 70 to 80% of the music that I will be making will be "Dance". And of course, "Pop."
At least that's what I expect, but life takes many turns ... but for now this is the plan.
Making the brand "Hindie" in 2010 the beginning of something that will bring results in years to come.
Working with people from different areas and get influences from external factors.
The pop will dominate the music scene in years to come. Of course the pop merged with other musical styles including everything that is danceable.
2010 is the beginning.
Again.
The ambition as a starting point.
The goal. As a new starting point.
Renewal.
The illusion.
The dream.
Because everything starts with a dream, a vision.

Last day of 2009.
Myspace say's that in this last day of the year I had on my portuguese profile (http://www.myspace.com/henriquef) an amazing 32,211 play's for my song "Don't be Shy Girl". I think it's a bug. Or maybe is just a sign that I should do more music in english under the name Hindie.
I'll take the second option.
In 2010 I'll be releasing more music Pop/Dance as Hindie.

As the cold settles in and the Christmas is here, the more I feel to stay inside the studio and work. Although there was some sun outside today, now the night is starting to fall, and here I am writing another blog. I'm on the process of organizing things and make some resolutions for next year. Hey there!

Another week passed so fast. Like life in general. I spent most of my time in the studio with my new toy. Yes I bought a new soft synth that probably will keep me busy...for the rest of my life. So, didn't make too much music but a lot of research for sounds, especially new ways to make new and original sounds. I am working on some dance tracks and one pop track. I'm finding my own voice in the dance music scene, there are a lot of great artists out there, and it only makes sense to compare yourself with the best. Guess that's all for now. Keep smiling. This week I received a call to go to another radio to give another interview. In the meantime this radio is already playing the song "Don't be Shy Girl". I'll give you news as soon as something happens. Still trying for the major radio's to play the song, but they still keep it on hold. I understand they have an agenda, we all have, but c'mon I'm not listening to anything new or the lack of space in the air...but well that's how it is. I'm here to give you an insight of what happened lately with Hindie.
Some radios in Portugal are starting to play "Don't be Shy Girl".
Hindie was on a radio this last week giving an interview live and answering some questions by the listener's.
It was created a link especially for the listener´s of this radio and while Hindie was on the air, almost one hundred people made the download of the song.
In the meantime Hindie as a page in soundcloud.com/hindie , where you can listen and download his first single, legal and for free.
Hindie is working on some songs that will be available soon.
We reached 725 plays on Myspace and 226 plays on youtube.

Hey!

I went today to the radio station where I will be live next week. It's gonna be on Wednesday around 1.30 p.m. GMT, we're gonna talk in Portuguese and Brazilian because the host of the show is Brazilian. You can listen on the website, right HERE. It's gonna be fun. Today I talked with a director from another radio station that told me the song "Don't be Shy Girl" was kind of black music and was needing some drum sounds in the style of Timbaland. Well I think the song is pop and to agree with him I could hear something on the style of Florida, in what concerns to drums. I like it like this, more soft drum sounds, but anyway he gave me a tip and I'll see what comes up...I will keep you posted on this.
And for today....I guess that´s all folks.

Here we go for the second weekly report. Some radio stations started to play "Don't be Shy Girl". A big thanks to them. We mailed the song to a few radio stations in Netherlands on friday and we hope to hear from them. It's a slow process to have the big radio stations airplay a song from an independent artist, even if it´s a good song. Things take time. I'm always remenbering that, and in the meantime I can only continue to make music. And that's what I love to do. For now that's all. I'll keep you posted, and in the meantime spread the word. Hindie is here. And he is not going anywhere. So be aware.

Today we mailed the press release to some radio stations in Netherlands, explaining who is Hindie and an Mp3 of the song "Don't be Shy Girl". We hope to have some feed-back in the next day's or so. I've been in Amsterdam recently and I think this is the kind of music they appreciate there. At least I hope so. Such a beautiful city with so many nice and friendly people. I hope I'll get the chance to go back and see other parts of the country.

In the meantime on Youtube we reached 160 plays, and on Myspace 150 plays.
